Hint: look for a word that follows four tiles
One group works by adding the same word after each tile. Think of a surface used for a game, a computer input device, or something you ride.
Reveal the four groups and reasoning
Can come before BOARD: CHESS, CLIP, KEY, SKATE. They make chessboard, clipboard, keyboard and skateboard. Use one consistent joining rule for all four words.
Dance styles: SALSA, WALTZ, BALLET, TANGO. Salsa can also mean a sauce, but here it belongs with three other dances.
Parts of a shoe: SOLE, HEEL, TONGUE, LACE. Tongue can suggest a body part, but the other three tiles point to footwear.
Weather phenomena: FOG, HAIL, SLEET, SNOW. This category is broader than precipitation: fog is suspended water droplets, rather than something falling from the sky.
How to avoid the tempting wrong connection
Do not submit a group just because two words seem related. SALSA suggests food and TONGUE suggests anatomy, but neither interpretation completes a four-word group here. Start with the four dances, remove them, then test each remaining set against an exact category. Check the unused words before committing your final group.
